Cherish your precious moments, the people you meet, the time that you have and the things you enjoy.
MANY HAVE GONE BEFORE YOU
Since I finished studying I’ve been working full-on. I think it’s great. I also enjoy going travelling with my friends. All that I’ve seen around me has made me realise just how precarious life can be. That’s why I want to get as much out of life as I can.
I don’t have a will as such yet. I’ve put my life goals on my MyMoriam bucket list. That stimulates me. By keeping track of my wishes, photos and most important moments in my MyMoriam life file, my family and my closest friends all know what matters to me.
My husband died a few years ago. We talked a lot, but never really about the things that had made him into the exceptional man he was. He once had a will written. In the meantime it was quite outdated. Unfortunately we couldn’t do much with the information it contained.
I want my children and grandchildren to know what is really important to me. Not only to be able to divide up my possessions fairly, but above all to be able to share my knowledge and life experience with them. Who knows, maybe even my grandchildren’s children can get something out of it…
I don’t have a will. What if I should die? Frankly, I haven’t really thought about it yet … Well, I think it’s important that the things that really matter to me are recorded and kept safe, just in case anything should happen to me. That feels reassuring; for myself and for my family.
I find that I am becoming increasingly aware of the vulnerable nature of health and happiness. That’s why I’ve set myself goals and am busy making plans. I share these with the people who care about me and those I love. By talking to each other about the things that really count I’m learning a lot and can also share my experiences. That can surely only make you a better person?
I travel all over the world. The fact that I can still do this, I see as a kind of second chance. After my illness I started looking at everything in a new light. I spent my whole life busy collecting material things. Now I’ve discovered that you get very little out of it. Collect moments, not things! That’s what I do now.
When travelling I meet a great diversity of people. With every adventure I learn something new. About others and myself. So invaluable! Should anything happen to me, my finances are well taken care of. I’m well insured. And MyMoriam also lets my family know what my goals, wishes and most important memories are. This gives me the peace of mind to head off all over the world, wherever and whenever I want.
